A couple in Raleigh, NC wanted to update the front and back doors of their 2-story contemporary brick Tudor home. In addition to addressing a wear and rot issue, they wanted to update the look of their doors with modern color and design while gaining privacy without losing any light. Upon inspection, we discovered that the door with the supposed rot problem was still in good condition and had sound structural integrity. The primary issue was that there was some water leaking in. So we installed flashing and new insulation to properly manage the moisture concerns.
For an updated look and better privacy, we opted for ProVia doors, which come in many style and color options, are exceptionally durable, and are ENERGY STAR certified. For the back door, the client went with a simple but classic ProVia Heritage Fiberglass Entry Door with Blink Blinds. And for the front door, we provided a beautifully embossed ProVia Signet Cherry Fiberglass Entry Door in a chic blue color with waterfall privacy glass on the sidelites. The stunning elliptical transom window above the front door was one of the visions the homeowners had in mind that we were able to bring to life.
